Somewhere in the Caribbean Waters of Central America Captain Ric and his wife Kathy live on a wonderful sailboat named Sea Dragon. In earlier life, Captain Ric used to be a copy machine salesman. His wife Kathy owned and operated a dancing school. After getting up each morning knowing he had to put on a suit and tie just to go out in the world and get rejected by 95 people a day, he knew there must be a better way to exist on this planet other than selling copy machines.

The initial goal was to pay off all our bills quit our jobs and move to Key West for a season. On one very cold and cloudy day in Buffalo N.Y. we packed up our little red jeep and did just that.

After living and working in Key West we both knew this was the lifestyle we were looking for. (Sunshine and blue tropical waters) While living in Key West we started our search for a perfect cruising boat. One hundred boats and six months later we found Sea Dragon. With a three-month refit (and mucho $$$$) she was ready to sail. The first year she took us from Tarpon Springs FL on the Gulf coast, around the FL Keys to the Bahamas and Exuma Islands. The next season we headed across the Gulf of Mexico to Central America where Sea Dragon found her new home.

The Ta Chiao Brothers Yacht Building Company built sea Dragon in 1976. Her interior is hand rubbed mahogany with detail and craftsmanship only found on a vessels of these vantage.
